graduate, in Beirut. Since then, she has
moved from Los Angeles, and “we’re
happily living in metropolitan Washing-
ton D.C., surrounded by a great family
and many blessed friends,” he writes.
“We celebrated our nuptials last year
with many IC friends including Ab-
boudi Ladki, Hassan Baalbaki, Ziad
Bashur, and Kamil Kur’an. We had a
great time reminiscing about our beau-
tiful Lebanon and our times at IC, that,
in spite of turbulent times, and in spite
of being - at times- the worst of times,
were, inexplicably, the best of times! For
the past year, we have been in disbelief
over the sorry events in Lebanon that
started shortly after our wedding and
continue to this date.”
Raed Mounzer ‘87
obtained his Bach-
elor of Mechanical Engineering at AUB
in 1991, his MBA from LAU in 2006 and
is working as a Project Manager at Be-
mco International Offshore sal (Beirut).
His is married to Dala Sadek (IC elemen-
tary teacher) and has two sons: Mouin, 7,
and Mahdi, 3.
Mazen Fakhouri ’88
graduated from
Concordia University in Montreal in In-
ternational Business. He lived in Riyadh
for ten years before moving to Dubai and
working as the Managing Director of
Front Defense.
Sami Ahmad Addam ‘88
is holding a
Fleet Manager/Marine Manager position
since 2005, in a French Offshore company
based in UAE. The fleet of ships consti-
tute of very specialized type of ships cat-
egorized as “Dynamic Positioning” ship’s
(presently 4) which carry out diving sup-
port/sub-sea construction support/and
oil fields support operations, and the fleet
is expected by Mid/end of 2009 to expand
up to 6 vessels. The company vessels are
deployed in various parts of the world on
important offshore operations. “The es-
sence of my job involves managing these
diving support vessels, post-fixture of
contract – maintenance, safety manage-
ment, crewing and survey and certifica-
tion maintenance,” he writes.
Sawsan Khanafer ‘89
says that “her
high school year at IC was remarkable,
the friends, the teachers, the atmosphere
are memories I still carry with me. I still
feel great affiliation with this school. It
offered me more than just education.
I loved it so much that I enrolled my
daughter in the same school.”
Fouad Nakfour ’89
is working as
Head of Legal & Compliance in Standard
Chartered Bank Lebanon. He is married
with two children: Joey and Mark.
CLASS OF ‘90-’99
Zahi Haidar ’90
recently finished
his neonatal/perinatal fellowship at the
University of Rochester Medical Center,
Rochester, NY as well as his Masters in
Medical Management at the Graduate
Simon School of Business, Rochester, NY.
He has since moved to Phoenix, AZ
where he has joined a neonatology group
(NAL) and is currently practicing neona-
tal intensive care at St. Joseph Hospital.
Rula Arakji Abdallah ’90
left in 1989
to Vancouver, Canada where she got her
BA at the University of British Columbia.
She then came back to Beirut where she
got her teaching degree at AUB. She has
been an IC Preschool teacher for the past
11 years and still enjoying it as ever. She
has two children: Karen and Celine.
Lamice Joujou ’91
is now the owner of
ABraCa’sign program, certified in baby
sign language to facilitate interaction
between mothers and babies, for better
expression of their needs, reducing frus-
tration, loudness and enhancing verbal
skills with stronger bonds between par-
ents and toddlers.

Mazen Mneimneh ‘91
has been liv-
ing in California since 1997. He recently
joined Emaar Properties as a Develop-
ment Manager. He got married this
summer in Germany to Petra Segger.
Fourat Aschkar ‘91
and her husband,
Richard Saad, are living in Barcelona,
Spain and have a daughter, Karma who
was born on May 5, 2005.
Richard is a Senior Architect and As-
sociate at Nabil Gholam Architecture and
Planning_Barcelona Office.
After graduating from Architecture,
Fourat worked at the Lebanese Center for
Policy Studies (LCPS) and Transparency
International Lebanon Chapter (LTA),
respectively in economic and social poli-
cies research and as Programme Officer
for the MENA region. She is currently
a MENA development consultant for
NGOs and private companies.

Najib H. Yatim ’92
was recently
blessed with the birth of a baby girl. Tala
Farah was born on July 23, 2007 in Phila-
delphia. She was anxiously welcomed by
her older sister Lily.
Nahil Tannir ’92
is married to Samir
Mirza and has two daughters: Sabine and
Marla both attending IC. Sabine is in
dixieme and Marla in Moyenne Section.

Yasmina Dada welcomed their baby girl,
Talia, on October 21, 2007.
Randa Abla ’93
is married to Serge
Cherfan since 2004 and has a lovely daugh-
ter: Sarah, born March 8th 2006. The fam-
ily moved to Bahrain in April 2007.
