Teachers’ Dinner
Every year, IC celebrates Teachers’ Day with a dinner for all IC faculty and staff. In a cheerful atmosphere with good food
and good music, IC pays tribute to retirees and those who have spent 25 years of their lives serving the institution. IC also

This Year’s New IC Ras-Beirut
Elementary School Project:
Sound Proofing the Playgrounds
“Noise is a health issue,” states the bulletin that was created for
a campaign raising money for sound-proofing the elementary
school. The project initiated by “The Friends of the Elementary
School” and in partnership with the Alumni and Development
Office, to enhance learning conditions in the elementary
school succeeded last summer in installing safe, washable car-
pets in the playground, new benches, new furniture, and creat-
ing more open space in the elementary classroom. This year
the committee received many donations for their new project
combining sound absorbents and sound stoppers to lower
sound levels for the Elementary school playgrounds, which are
very noisy places. With a colorful brochure distributed to all
elementary students’ parents, and a carnival stand, “The
Friends of the Elementary School” were able to succeed in
their mission. They would like to thank all parents who con-
tributed to their cause and helped bring about better learning
