her degree in medicine and surgery, and Bachelor of
Medical Sciences. She did her residency at the Albany
Medical College, New York, USA, where she was elected
Chief Resident. Dr. Bakri completed a two-year Vitreoretinal
surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation,
Cleveland, Ohio. She is Board-Certified by the American
Board of Ophthalmology.
Razane Hallak Naja ’94
is now teaching Fashion Design at
CAMM. Her husband, Walid Naja, is the IT Manager at
AUB. The Naja’s are proud to announce the birth of their
first baby boy, Ghassan, on September 8, 2005 at the AUB
Medical Center.
Bassem Tannir ’94
graduated on May 13, 2006 with an MBA
in management from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He was offered
several jobs in the Gulf and the United States. He will most
probably join Bechtel corporation, the world's premier engi-
neering and construction company, in Houston, Texas as a
project manager. Bassem is also planning on pursuing his PhD
in structural engineering at the same time. He graduated from
AUB with a BE in Civil Engineering.
Mohamed Trad ’94
is currently in Brisbane-Australia work-
ing for Mater hospitals in the area of Intensive Care, and
undertaking a Masters Program in Public Health and
Tropical medicine.
After graduating from IC,
Wael El Turk ’94
joined the AUB
Architecture Department for three years and then shifted his
focus to graduate with a B.A. in Economics. He joined the
University of Glasgow in Scotland later that year for an MPhil
in International Finance. Wael worked in Dubai for a year and
then came back to Lebanon to finish off his military service.
He worked in Economic Development in a microfinance insti-
tution in Tyre for two years. He recently started a consulting
company called Global Consulting Group.
Raed Adlouni ’95
has been working in Dubai for four years.
He is currently working at a company called Emircom as an
Account Manager.
Madonna Shalhoub ’95
and her husband Michel El Hashem
are proud to announce the birth of their first baby boy,
Alexandero, on January 14, 2006.
Choucrallah Karam ’96
is currently a business development
officer for the Royal Medical Institute in Dubai, UAE. He
worked with Bechtel Industrial and Telecom in Maryland,
USA in 2003. Choucrallahe graduated from LAU with a
Bachelor in Industrial Engineering and from ESA with an MBA
Osama Rinno ’96
went to BUC for two years and then
moved to Canada in 1989. He lived for 5 years in Canada
and has done several degrees in the fields of Business
Commerce, Software Engineering and Computer Graphic
Design. After graduating from Canada, he moved to Dubai
and has been living there for the last 12 years. Osama has
joined Clarins Group Middle East as President of the
Subsidiary, handling their Middle East and Indian Sub-conti-
nent region. Aside from his professional life, he got married
in December 2004 to Zeina Sankar, and they are expecting
their first baby in December 2006.
Vida Hamd ’97
has published a book in Arabic entitled The
International Criminal Court, Towards International Justice.
She is also currently employed at the United Nations High
Commissioner for Refugees. Happily single, Vida carries IC
in her heart. Her e-mail is vidahamd@hotmail.com.

Mazen Fakhran ’97
received her undergraduate degree in
engineering with honors from the Lebanese American
University. He then joined the American University of
Beirut where he earned a Master Degree in Civil
Engineering (Structure), again with honors. Afterwards,
Mazen worked in the U.A.E in the position of Project
Engineer for the Jumeirah Beach Residence project (JBR)
which is one of the largest residential projects in the world.
Recently he returned back to his homeland, Lebanon,
where he has been appointed to the position of "Structure
Engineer" in a competent international company.
Rana Itani ’97
got engaged to Hisham Lotfi on March 3,
2005. Rana & Hisham met in Patchi's chocolate factory in
Siblin where Rana currently holds the position of
Administration & Support Services Director; Hisham the
position of General Manager.
Abdo Saad ’97
is currently at Indianapolis, Indiana, com-
pleting his residency in Internal medicine at IUPUI
Daline Alameddine ’98
is working in Bahrain at the Ibn
Khaldoon National School as an Aarabic elementary
teacher.
Tarek Chbaklo ’98
and Lamis El Amine celebrated their
wedding on June 17, 2006, at Regency Hotel, in the com-
pany of family and friends.
Anna-Christina El Mokdessi ’98
is living in Manhattan, New
York, where she completed her Masters degree in Learning
Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University in
2004. She is currently a full-time Pre-School Special
Education Teacher. She also started a Masters in Education
in Early Childhood Special Education. Anna-Christina hopes
to return to Lebanon soon!
Fuad Philip Saade ’98
has been back in Lebanon since
January 2005 after spending 5 years in the US. He graduated
from Clemson University, South Carolina in Corporate
Finance and Managerial Accounting, and now runs the family
business, specialized in Agriculture Industry and Water
Treatment projects. Fuad would like to send a massive hello
to his buddies at IC, especially those from 6th C (1995-1996)!
