ice during the year of ’05 at the military officer school. It
was quite a nice experience, contrary to the reaction you
would normally get from people who served at the school.
During that year he also worked in the family business,
‘Nest’ furniture, interior design and wood. In the month of
September 2005, he was off to Milan where he is still finish-
ing up a double Masters degree in Industrial Design and Car
Design in Italian at the Scuola Politecnica di Milano. He
will be finishing with the program in July and heading back
to Beirut to attend to the family business with his dad, sister

and brother
Rifki Abou Zahr’92
. The
best period of his life was the time he spent at IC.
Whenever he meets with his old IC friends, many of whom
he is still in touch with today, they converse about their IC
experiences.
Hana Addam ’99
will finish her MA in Educational
Administration and Policy Studies in June 2006. The follow-
ing month, in July 2006, she will marry Bilal Ghali who is a
graduate of the Computer Sciences at AUB and currently is
the owner and general manager of MicroTech Computer
Company in Lebanon.
After working for three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers,
Taline Adra ’99
is currently completing her MBA at the
University of Oxford. She will be joining the Investment
Banking Division of Credit Suisse in London, after her grad-
uation in September 2006.
Farah Chebaro ’99 and Mazen Mneimne ’91
tied the knot a
few months ago in the presence of family and friends.
Rana Kammareddine ’99
and Majed Hassan are now the
proud parents of their second baby, Aya, who was born on
April 10, 2006.
Omar NasserEddin ’99
recently left L.A. and his biotech job
at Amgen to come to New York City and attend Columbia
Business School. He is pleased to find many fellow IC
Alums in this neck of the woods. Upon graduation, he
hopes to return to Lebanon. Cheers to the Class of ’99!
Hala Nsouli ’99
is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Epidemiology
at the George Washington University,Washington DC.
CLASS OF ’00 - ’05
Diala Rebeiz '00,
will be graduating with honors this year
from LAU with a BS in Pharmacy. She is planning on con-
tinuing her education for an additional year at LAU in order
to earn a PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree, the only
program accredited outside the US.
Charles Addington ’01
graduated from McGill with a
Chemical Engineering Bachelor degree. He is currently
looking for work in the Gulf region.
Reem Beydoun ’01
graduated with a BS in Hospitality
Management from Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL).
During her studying years, Reem has completed a number of
internships in hotels all over the world, including Hotel Ritz
in Barcelona, Spain and Hotel Royal Monceau (Kempinski)
Paris, France, and Phoenicia Intercontinental, Beirut.
Sara Ghandour ’01
graduated from AUB with a BBA in
Marketing. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in
Educational Studies from the University of Leicester while
working at BLOM Bank s.a.l. in the Retail Marketing
Department.
Lynn Farah ’02
graduated in June 2005 from AUB with a BS
in Mathematics and a Teaching Diploma. She is currently a
part time mathematics teacher at IC-Beirut secondary
school, and is also pursuing an MA in Mathematics
Education in AUB.
Sara Mukallid ’02
graduates in June from AUB with a BA in
Elementary Education and a Teaching Diploma in Special
Education. She will continue her Masters in Counseling at
AUB and will be teaching in Eastwood College.
Jad Tabbara ’02
graduates this June from AUB with a
Bachelors of Engineering in Civil and Environmental
Engineering. He is planning to start work in Lebanon before
considering traveling abroad, and pursuing his Masters
Degree.
After attending Glendale Community College for two years,
Maher Abdel-Sattar ’03
transferred to UCLA, where he is
studying Molecular, Cell and Development Biology in addi-
tion to a Human Complex Systems minor. He is simultane-
ously working with Dr. Christensen's Botany Research
Laboratory, as a research assistant. Maher received the two
most prestigious scholarships at UCLA, the Regents
Scholarship and the Alumni Scholarship. He is very much
involved on campus and currently heads five clubs. He is
the Vice-President of the Lebanese Social Club at UCLA and
he helps to organize many events, including the annual
Lebanese Cultural Night. He is also the management coor-
dinator of LCL, Lebanese Campus Link, which is a new stu-
dent non-profit organization aiming to connect and unite all
Lebanese students together in across the US, Mexico, and
Canada. The organization was founded this year and had its
first conference in LA earlier in March with an attendance
of more then 500 people. As the Management Coordinator
of LCL, he will be working on collaborating with all
Lebanese clubs in different universities in the US to create a
liaison between students and the LCL.
Jad Chehayeb ’03
is studying computer science at LAU and
still has two semesters to complete before graduation (his
last semester is the coming Fall). In addition to working on
his degree, Jad is a DJ.
Karma Hamady ’03
is currently doing her third year in
graphic design at AUB and expects to graduate in 2007.
This summer she will be doing a design internship in
London at Rana Salaam Design.
